I modelled the hinge in Fusion, just so I was able to have a blue hinge.  Obviously any color will work, so get creative!

Replacing the original hinge isn't hard at all;  First, pry out the old hinge carefully.  Once you get it out, you'll have to remove the metal rod holding the latch and hinge together.  I was able to start punching it out, then use pliers to pull it the rest of the way out.  Line up your latch and new hinge together, then start pressing the rod through.  Once it's assembled, getting it back into the tool box is as easy as pushing it back into place.  Once you're finished, enjoy your new color!
