Description
This rocket is an entirely fictional design created by me, based on a drawing I found in my attic from when I was in Grade 4. I’ve reimagined it as a Canadian launch vehicle (because I'm from Canada), operating from an imaginary spaceport in British Columbia.
(Fictional) Rocket Specifications:
Derived from an ICBM “V-21”
Uses hypergolic propellants (N₂O₄ / UDMH)
2-stage configuration
Payload capacity: ~13,000 lbs. to Low Earth Orbit (LEO)
Potentially crew-rated
I’m also working on other versions of rockets from my childhood (including the original ICBM concept), so keep an eye out for future models.
Assembly Notes:
Some assembly required.
The upper stage and fairings include holes designed for magnets, but printed pegs can also be used as an alternative.
If the small alignment pins on the second stage break during printing, you can drill into their original locations and insert a small rod with glue for reinforcement.
In most cases, glue is not required for assembly.
Known Print Issues:
Upper stage engines may occasionally detach during printing. If this happens, you can either glue them back in place or leave them as shortened stubs.
Stage Diagram Labels:
Stage 1: Main booster core with a single dual-chamber engine
Flank Skirt: Stabilizing mass system; separates in the upper atmosphere. this is the set of cone shapes around the 1st stage.
Stage 2: Upper stage with 4 engines and a Payload Attach System (PAS) for small satellites
Fairing: Protective nose cone for payload
