This is a set of models for organizing and storing Intel Xeon server CPUs for easy reference and access.
As a long-time homelabber, I've assembled quite a collection of CPUs from various generations, and organizing and storing them has always been a bit of a hassle. I built this set of models to aid this, in conjunction with a label maker (and software to make said labels).
At the core are a set of 4 "trays" which fit into a set of 6 "boxes" of various sizes to hold them.
There are trays for 4 different physical sizes of CPUs:
LGA13X6: Fits CPUs with the LGA1366 ("Nehalem"/"Westemere" generations) and LGA1356 (mid-range "Sandy Bridge"/"Ivy Bridge" generations) form factors.
LGA2011W: Fits CPUs with the extra-wide/square-ish LGA2011 ("Sandy Bridge"/"Ivy Bridge" generations) form factors, e.g. the E5-2697V2.
LGA2011: Fits CPUs with the normal rectangular LGA2011 ("Haswell"/"Broadwell" generations) form factors.
LGA115X: Fits CPUs from the LGA775/771, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA1151, and (possibly) LGA1200 form factors, including desktop chips from ~2008-2020 and E3-type Xeon chips e.g. the E3-1245V2.
The trays feature an open bottom to avoid the central decoupling components and a rectangular opening to loosely hold the chip by its edges; depending on your print settings this may be very loose or relatively tight, so remember that when inserting/removing them from boxes! They also feature an extended tab both for holding during insertion/removal and labeling; the tabs include an engraved type indicator as well as space for a 40x30mm label.
More tray types can be easily added based on these in the TinkerCAD Project, though the above are the only CPUs I have access to/need to store. If you're interested in contributing more please reach out to me! I will simply need precise external CPU PCB dimensions including height. Note however that due to practical limits on the size of the boxes and trays, "Scalable"-era Xeons will probably not work as these are >80x80mm in size.
There are boxes for 6 different combinations of trays, providing ample storage for collections of every size:

The boxes feature a small hole in the base to prevent suction effects with tight-fitting prints.
I print these in black 3DPrintingCanada ABS with a Creality K1 Max @ 0.16mm layer height for the trays and 0.24mm layer height for the boxes (to save plastic), though really any settings should do. No supports, brims, etc. should be required, simply use the options best for your printer and filament!
