The indicator is mounted on the fan shroud and rotates in the indicated direction using the wind generated by the fan. The indicator is very small and easy to lose. The indicator provides a visible and inexpensive way to check the rotation direction of the pump motor and fan impeller. The component must be painted to distinguish the directions.
