Firstly, I want to thank Chris Hill for creating this CAD file after I proposed to him my idea and requirements in 2018. He did an excellent job.
Secondly, this is a Vive Tracker mount for RIS/RAS rails on various things. It fits all Vive Trackers from 1 to 3.0. Not sure about Vive Ultimate Tracker as I do not possess one.
To fit it to the rail, you need two M3 or M4x25mm screws and two M3 or M4 hex nuts to secure it properly.
DO NOT over tighten.
In addition, you need a camera imperial screw to mount the tracker to this print. Length is around 6mm (will check). You may need to sand down the top of the camera screw so it sits flush with the print.
Finally, you need 5 M2 Grub Screws at 6 to 8mm in order to make contact from wire to the pogo pins. I mention 5 as I never used the output pin so consider it non-functional.
Print settings: PLA is fine but make sure the infill is above 50% for strength reasons, the teeth is the weakest part so making it above 80% infill is a good idea. Feel free to experiment but this is what I discovered through experience.
How you wire the buttons to the pogo pins is up to your imagination.
Also the top mount can be separated from the rest of the mount so you can attach it to surfaces without a RIS/RAS rail.
To stop the top piece from turning, use M1.5 screws (you can get them from electronic toys) and screw it in. This is optional, if you want to glue the surfaces together, make sure you let them cure overnight with a clamp to apply pressure.
Good luck to those who attempt this and are following my guide: here(link will be posted later).
