Summary
Stacking Sats is a hands-on educational tool that helps people understand how the Bitcoin blockchain works using simple, physical building blocks. The kit includes 21 stackable, rectangular tokens representing satoshis (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) and also Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins.
Alongside the tokens are printable “Private Key Cards” that demonstrate ownership and control of Bitcoin and dice are used to illustrate aspects of how mining works. Stacking Sats teaches key concepts like decentralization, scarcity, block confirmations, halving, and more. Each lesson is designed to be visual and interactive, making complex topics like consensus rules and proof-of-work easier to grasp.
This project is perfect for teachers, community workshops, or anyone who wants to explain Bitcoin in a tactile, memorable way.
