Summary
This is my own design based off one from Tons.
It perfectly fits a 7/8 diameter dowel, no glue or anchors required. There are two holes for standard woodscrews, one pictured and one that is seated behind the dowel. I cut my dowels to 10" to accommodate my handlebars.
