Abstract
This is a fully flyable remake of Greg Glenn's excellent Mars lander.
New update- I've been working on a major multi-color remake, turning it into a SpaceX lunar lander. Please check out the photos. I'll upload it once it's finished.
I had to make some modifications to several files so that they could be used in a 2x format.
Note - You need a large printer. I have an Artemis, and it's just right for my printing needs.
You don't need to add any supports. For the descent phase, in addition to the supports already added by Glen, I also added more supports to support the 1010 compliance guide rail button, which has now been integrated into the fuselage.
The SVG file is a vector file I made for cutting the wooden motor center ring. This is a component that perfectly matches the 54mm motor tube, and it will be embedded into the bottom of the lower core and one of the upper cores.
Given the size and weight of the final product, I recommend the following additions:
1)I modified the interior of the descent stage and added four hooks to connect the landing gear to the fuselage. These extension springs are very suitable for this purpose and can be purchased on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RG6C3I/Otherwise, please purchase the spring with dimensions of 5/8 inch by 2-1/2 inch and a diameter of 0.072 inch on your own. I don't recommend using rubber bands

3) I used a 54mm-3 inch tail cone-shaped motor mount at the bottom of the motor pipe - you can see it hanging down in the first photo. 4) This might be the most important thing: I had to add a lot of weight to the nose cone. I pasted a lot of lead pellets into the nose cone. According to my setup

Descending phase: 40% filling
Ascending stage: 58% filling
Nose cone base: 58% filling
Nose tip: 100% filled
Landing gear: 100% filled
Landing pad: 100% filled
Lower core: 58% filled
