Summary
Tired of swapping out spools of filament from my single spool holder, I designed this horizontal spool system for the Taz 6. My present config accommodates four spools.
It's brutally simple and doesn't require much explanation: Use the single-sided holders for each end, and the double-sided holders in the middle. I attach all the holders to my Taz with M5 x 12mm socket head cap screws and M5 t-slot nuts.
The 94mm axle works for all the spools I have on hand, but if you print a lot with narrower spools like Proto-Pasta, there's no reason you can't make shorter axles and accommodate five spools at a time.
Also included is the above-mentioned 94mm axle, as well as a simple tab you can mount and use as a holder to keep filament organized when a particular spool isn't in use.
The double-sided holder does require support for the down-facing axle holder, but the mounting holes actually printed better for me without supports.
