Usage

Organising

Open in FreeCAD, open the spreadsheet to edit the parameters, then export the extruded file to an .stl for your slicer

Printing

Best is to print with recycled materials to reduce the impact of plastic in the environment.

You can also use a piece of string if your ornament has a hook, ideally cotton or a non-synthetic material.

Updates

Updates will also be done on our repository as we're still testing to see how printables handles new updates and revisions -  https://github.com/darigovresearch/Parametric-ornament-holder

Contributing

Pull requests, corrections, translations & fixes are welcome. Any contributions must be submitted under the same license as the original piece of work (see below). Take a look at any open issues or submit new ones if there is something that needs to be fixed or added.

Errata

If there are any errors which are found with the model they will be updated here for reference

The printer that we currently have access to is under maintenance so a render from PrusaSlicer is being used as a placeholder until we can print one

Potential bugs/feature requests to Printables

This section is to outline any bugs that we encountered when creating this model in Printables and ideas that could be potentially implemented to improve the site, this has already been sent in the “Share your feedback section”. If you the reader have any thoughts on them don't hesitate to leave a comment or submit your own feedback to the Prusa team

1. When pasting markdown into the description it didn't render, it would be great to allow for markdown if it has not already been implemented
2. Sometimes when pasting in a full URL it would not automatically
3. Show revisions when a description or another item is rendered like in the description of a GitHub Issue
4. Would be great to import from a GitHub Repo
5. Wasn't sure on what license to pick, would have been great to have a dropdown saying “TBC” i.e. To be determined at a later date
6. May be good to have more granular checkbox when submitting to a contest to not have to leave the page to check off the guidelines needed to be considered
7. Change “Printer I own” to “Printer I have access to” in the profile section as technically we don't own a printer as a company but we have access to many. When uploading a make it only lets us pick a Printer we own instead of a printer we have access to
