This is a mold for casting the Benchy
The Benchy shape had to be modified to be demoldable. My Intend was to cast a candle as you see in the pictures.
Printing
print the two halves with the following orientation:

I successfull printed/casted with generic PETG 0.2mm layer height on an A1
the seam line between the two halfes mated perfectly
Casting Wax
thread the wick through the two holes.
tie a knot at the chimney part of the mold
consider using a mold release "agent" like (kitchen) oil. Especially on the upper part of the benchy.
Close the two halves
Use a Clamp (or tape) to keep the halves shut and fixate the wick on the other side of the mold
liquify the wax (can be done in a water bath)
pour the wax in the molds
slightly tilt and tap the molds to release bubles
when wax retracts in the mold, repour some more wax
Cool down (for example in a freezer for 1h)
undo the knot
gently tear the molds apart.
pull at the bottom wick to demold the upper part.
if demolding is difficult:
Prop somthing between the molds (like m4 nuts between the two molds where the alignment pins are) and secure the two molds togetherwith some sticky tape
use the provided push pin and gently push through the upper wick hole
cut the wick at the bottom.
Casting other stuff
Consider using an apropriate mold release agent
The mold has draft angles of 3°
Scale the mold according to your need
Notes
Just melt a candle for the wax and the wick!
Some wicks have a "Direction", so keep track of the top while threading it in
my first one demolded graceously without breaking. for the next two i was not as patient and the thin parts of the bow broke. This is fixable, just hold the pieces in place and come close with something hot and remelt the parts together!
Have fun!
