The Creality K1 multi-part toolbox was designed with the FreeCad-Software. It consists of nine parts and should help you to store the tools that come with the K1 3D-printer tidily and with fast access. It‘s up to you to decide whether you need all the parts of the Creality K1 multi-part toolbox or not.
The printing of all parts worked well with the Hyper PLA filament under the standard conditions proposed by the Creality Print-software with 0.2mm layer height and sparse infill density of 15%. Only the brim-option was changed for the different parts. The tested print options, print time and the amount of filament are listed below:
Part A: toolbox base:
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 2h:50m,
- Amount of filament material: 151.79g
Part B: pliers holder:
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 0h:42m:22s
- Amount of filament material: 34.16g
Part C: socket wrench and screwdriver holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 1h:8m
- Amount of filament material: 35.68g
Part D: allen key holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 0h:48m:33s
- Amount of filament material: 35.80g
Part E: needle holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 0h:32m:59s 28.59g
- Amount of filament material: 9.59m
Part F: open-end wrench holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, brim auto, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 0h:57m:8s
- Amount of filament material: 14.49g
Part G: glue and grease tube holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, brim auto, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 1h:35m:
- Amount of filament material: 61.9g
Part H: print bed scraper holder
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, no-brim, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 0h:51m:49s
- Amount of filament material: 41.24g
Part I: toolbox lid
- 0.2mm layer, 15% infill, outer brim only, sparse infill density 15%
- Print time: 3h:27m
- Amount of filament material: 152.95g
Feel free to experiment with different filament colours and materials.
There will always be room for further ideas and improvement – it’s a lot of fun to realize them yourself with the FreeCad-Software. Go for it 😊
