This was my first ever 3D print design. I always wanted a lid for my chemex to prevent coffee getting cold so quickly.
Due to the handmade nature of the chemex glass, I knew it would never fit perfectly. For years I had been using a beautiful piece of thick walnut wood that I had cut into a cylinder with my bandsaw, but the top of the chemex is conical in shape and I thought the 3D printer was the only thing that could slightly match its dimensions. So I made this. As it was my first project it took a very long time to match the dimensions. Cones are difficult things to deal with!

This isn't the greatest invention in the world, it doesn't really prevent coffee from getting cold :) So it's more form over function, but here it is.
