This is a short video summarizing how I built a small device that sends a Pushover notification to me every time the washer/dryer completes a cycle.

While you could duplicate my build/case, I've included the Fusion360 file so that you can modify the case to best fit your specific needs - especially if you use a different type of protoboard, add a reset button, etc.

This is meant as a general overview - I don't include the details with regards to setting up the SMTP account, Pushover account, how to solder, etc. The arduino code is included in the files section to allow you to have a firm starting point with which to build your own device.
