Summary

The CLB 75 was an early attempt by United States private interests to produce a tank. The tank was designed by the C. L. Best Gas Traction Company which was a competitor of the Holt Manufacturing Company (best known for the holt tractor). the tank itself was simply the CLB's best selling tractor the CLB 75hp "Tracklayer" with a thin piece of sheet metal over it. The tank would have between 1 to 4 cannons between 30-50mm in a rotating turret. The whole thing was designed to operate with one person. As a fighting machine the beast would have failed spectacularly as its poor armor protection and over taxing of its singular crewmate would have led to its immediate destruction.
