Summary
This is a remix of this post on Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1232657-holdercase-for-esp32-c3-with-oled-display
I needed a WLED controller for a single WS2811 Christmas lights strip. This ESP32-C3 board was still the smallest and cheapest option from what I already had in my parts bin. I didn't need OLED, I needed WLED, so in my final print I covered up the display.
Original design has excellent fit for the ESP32-C3 board, the PCB slides in and stays in place perfectly and the case is smallest it cold be without compromising structural strength. Also one of the most esthetically pleasing cases for this board from what I was able to find. There were just a couple of things I had to modify and fix to make it work for my applicxation. I needed a little more space to route the wires for the external WLED connection so I added 4mm empty space to the back. I wanted a little more protection from Christmas tree needles and similar debris, so I redesigned the buttons a bit and made a version with the OLED display covered up. Finally, the tolerance on the slide rails in the original design was a bit too tight so I've made them a bit beefier and with a little bit more clearance to reduce the chance of them breaking during assembly.
Prints well in both PLA and TPU, no supports needed.
Reset button is not attached, don't loose it.
