This hanger can hold an item, with smaller weight, on ferromagnetic surfaces. The smoother the surface, the stronger the bond is.
I designed this to attach a screwdriver (with a hole) ,came with the Prusa printer, onto the wall of the printer. The screwdriver is approx 60g but it can support even 150g. I tested.
Requirement:
- 1 cylindrical neodymium magnet with 10mm outer diameter and 5mm height (10x5) (I used a hollow one but it is possible to use a solid one too which is a bit stronger)
Model parameters:
- Total length: 40m
- Rod length: 33mm (usable length: 26mm)
- Rod diameter: 4mm
- Material: PLA.
Print instructions:
Prusaslicer default settings are ok. In case of a 0.4mm nozzle:
- 0.20 layer height, Speed / Balanced.
- Perimeter: 3
- Orientation: Cylindrical base on the build plate and if you have good printer no support is needed
Printing time: ~15minutes
Filament: ~2g
Assembly instruction:
The magnet fits tightly into the designed hole. Be sure you push it perfectly straight.
Just put the magnet on a flat desktop and push the hanger onto it from the top.
