How I Designed This
There are many phone to scope mounts available but most seem to fit directly onto the scope eyepiece.
I don't like the idea of mounting a heavy smartphone to the end of my scope through a long extension eyepiece as it puts strain on the fragile eyepiece threads and scope body.
This bracket clamps directly to the scope rails with a quick release lever and the scope just has a light weight "lens hood" attached to it.
This also has the advantage of leaving any eyepiece adjustment free to use.

Scope without rear lens hood

Lightweight tube lens hood slipped onto the rear of the scope.
On my scope the hood fits nicely onto the rubber eyepiece adjuster so turning the hood adjusts the eyepiece.
Alternatively the lens hood could be bonded to the phone case so there is no physical connection to the scope.
Lens hood tube bonded to a spare mobile phone case.

Typical mobile phone view through the scope.

Phone removed to show the mount in position.
The black tube lens hood only slides onto the scope and is not attached to the scope allowing focusing.

The mount is made up from 4 main parts plus 6 minor parts.

The parts are reversible so the mobile phone can be mounted on either side of your rifle.
