Summary

A friends walks in my shop and grabs my Harbor Freight flashlight and says this needs a belt clip, so I made one. Sometimes you just need the right seed. I added a clip design that will hold the same 15mm magnet as my tubing cutter. Now I have to buy one of the new red triangle flashlights and see if a clip makes sense for that model.

I did find that older/newer modules of the flashlight use either wood type screws in plastic or 3 millimeter threaded screws in inserts. I had to use longer screws to make it through the clip anyway, since the screws in the flashlight are recessed and to engage the inserts. I used 12mm length 3mm threaded screws that worked well in the inserts and they actually re-tapped the plastic in the flashlights that didn't have inserts. I took a picture of the two different screws that I removed from the flashlights as a reference.
