Seeing as I've been getting into building old Shuttle XPC systems as of late, one of the infuriating things in them can be the PCI slot. In my case, I added a Sound Blaster Live Value to my Windows 98 XPC and got surprised by the smell of burning electronics as the front panel connector for the Sound Blaster shorted out against the drive cage.
More recently, I wanted to put an Audigy 2 ZS in, and to Shuttle's credit they do put a rubber spacer in for longer cards. However, it was too thick and this would cause the Audigy to bend quite a lot when sitting in the slot.
So I made this. It's a plastic spacer intended to protect PCI cards from shorting out against the drive cage if they're not long enough, or replace the rubber spacer entirely if it's too thick for the card you're wanting to install.
There are a variety of screw holes you can use depending on what drives you have installed in the 3.5" bays. Simply remove the rubber spacer (if it's present), remove the screws from this side of the 3.5" bays, put the shield in place and screw everything back in. Good to go. If you have a long enough card I'd apply a piece of tape over the screw heads so the card doesn't short out on them.
I printed mine out of PLA, flipped so the screw holes face down. Either orientation is fine. I used supports for best results. 0.2mm layer height, 15% infill.
