This is a very quick model for an indoor mount for a Tapo C65 camera. I had a spare one lying around and needed to repurpose it as my 3D printer camera, but couldn’t screw it into the wall.
Thus, this model is designed for the camera to screw into, and then to be stuck onto a surface rather than screwed into it.
(My print warped a little as I’m still dialling in printer settings and dealing with a draught, but it was good enough for my use case)
Specs:
- Central hole is 30 mm diameter (v1 and v2a) or 20 mm diameter (v2b) - more than large enough to thread the power cable. The choice of which to print is down to your filament and stability needs, I found 30mm was more than sufficient.
- Thickness is 12mm to allow ample room for screws to penetrate.
- Screw holes are 2.5 mm diameter and pass all the way through (v1) or 3.25 mm diameter and capped with 2 mm of material. Either should be sufficient to screw into securely.
- Both surfaces are flat for ease of sticking to another surface.
- There is a 12.5 mm diameter half-cylinder cut out of one edge to allow passing through the cables.
- v1a and v2 are in the recommended orientation for printing. The original v1 is recommended to be flipped before printing.
I printed v1 on a Prusa MK3S+ with 3DQF Jet Black PLA. 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 15% gyroid infill, 2 perimeters. Any parameters that leave enough plastic around the screw holes should be sufficient, I may have actually undercooked it on that a little, but as I was printing v1 it is less of an issue due to tight tolerances.
