Putted in a new version!
For my own use I have designed a mounting device for my flight sim joystick. I use a Thustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition. The joystick table mount is made of eight printed parts needed assemble:
- Left and right side rail
- Middle traverse
- Carrier plate
- Two screws
- Pressure distribution plates (one on each screw)
Additional parts you need to build:
- 6 pcs. brass melt-in nuts M4 x 4mm
- 2 pcs. lens headed screws M4 x 10mm
- 2 pcs. washer 12x4,6x1mm
- 6 pcs. allen screws M4 x 20 mm
- 2 pcs. lens headed screws M6 x 15 mm for mounting the joystick devices
Assembly:
The middle traverse has holes for melting in flat M4x4 brass nuts.
The screws have a pressure distribution plate. It is needed to be mounted onto the screw by use of two M4 x 10mm lens headed screws and a washer It is needed to be mounted into the side rails before they are attached to the middle traverse!
For mounting the side rails you need six M4 x 20 mm allen screws (3 on each side)
Finally the carrier plate needs to be glued together with the side rails using super-glue.
I have used Prusa Slicer 2.9 and the fuzzy skin paint feature, which look really great! The definitions for it are in the .3mf files. I also used a textured PEI plate.
The overall measures are:
- 220 mm wide, 210 mm in depth, 150 mm high.
- Plate area 200 mm wide x 210 mm deep, plate level is 145 mm below table surface
- 2 mounting screw holes, diameter 8mm, 25mm displaced from center line each, 198 mm apart, fits exactly for two M6 x 15mm lens headed screws to mount the thrustmaster joystick onto the carrier plate.
