It occurred to me that there was wasted volume in the face of my fridge door so I designed this add-on shelf which “hangs” from the shelf above. Now I no longer need to wedge the tube of tomato puree and the little bottle of lemon juice behind the eggs.

This consists of three prints: The shelf itself, the two hanger plates and the shelf ‘fascia’. The fascia is printed in grey to match the original shelves. The left hanger plate hooks on to the end of the shelf above, so this addition neither wobbles nor slides around.

The .3mf and .gcode include 100% infill volumes at stress points. The fascia is fixed to the shelf with three dots of superglue (you’ll see where).

This is custom designed for a NEFF KG fridge-freezer. You could do a quick test print of just the left hanger plate (the one with the hook) to check for fit.

If you want this to hang from the right hand end of the shelf above, say if your door hinges are on the right, then you’ll have to do a bit of mirroring in your slicer.
