After printing, sand off any burrs or protrusions on any joining surfaces. Applying a small amount of Vaseline or light lubricating oil to moving parts can make them run more smoothly. During assembly, first insert the pawl into the hole on the side of the movable jaw. Then insert the gear into the keyhole-shaped groove on the jaw and slide it up to the pawl.
