This is a vase inspired by Roman Doric columns. Print the column in vase mode, print the base normally, and glue them together (you can also print the column normally if you want a regular column, but it's designed for vase mode). The groove on the base should line up with the bottom of the column.

I used 0.2mm layer height, with 15% infill density for the base.

Printed on a FlashForge Finder with TTYT3D multi-colored silk PLA. I don't have any stone/marble PLA, but it'd probably look good with that too.
