I tried a number of other spool adapters but my old spools are weird sizes, and I didn't want to have to fiddle with clips and try to adapt existing designs to my spools. I designed this adapter to clip right on to a spool and just work. I've used it for two different spool sizes now, and they both successfully allowed me to print in the AMS.

Printed in normal PLA, standard settings. I tend to slow down the first layer on the X1 for adhesion and quality reasons, but that's pretty much the only change I made to default settings.

I included some diameters for spools I've got, but I also included the fusion 360 file, so you can simply modify the spool_diam user parameter for your specific spool diameter. I haven't tried spool diameters larger than 170mm, so I have no idea if those will work. If you need that, let me know and I'll see if it needs fixing. Feel free to request specific diameters if you don't have fusion 360 and can't make one yourself.
