Summary

The Eliminator is a highly modified version of my popular Interceptor flying wing. This version has a number of enhancements to make it suitable for high speed flying. The purpose of this model is to set a top speed record for a powered 3D printed plane.

The current speed record for the Eliminator stands at 360km/h (224mph) set by Phil Heiniger - November 2025

Overview

The Eliminator has a number of changes over the original Interceptor design. These changes were made to increase strength and reduce drag. This includes:

Shorter wingspan (900mm)
Thinner airfoil
Longer fuselage
Pointy nose & tail
Smaller tail fin
Cleaner motor mounts
Servo arm covers
Middle elevon hinge
Smaller elevons
Second canopy magnet

Instruction manual

An instruction manual is now included in the zip archive. The manual has all the important information required to build the Eliminator such as the equipment required, printer settings, slicer profiles, assembly instructions, setup details and more.

News

February 2026 - I'm currently working on a new version of the Eliminator. This one has further modifications for increased speeds using 8S setups. The files will be released after it has been fully tested.
