This tool allowed me to disconnect the Fuel Rail from the Fuel Line on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I successfully used this to disconnect the Fuel Rail from the Fuel Line on a Jeep.

I know there are solutions that use a carved up pen cap or I could've simply bought the eight dollar tool. This was far more fun and I hope someone else can save time or money, or both.

I did not need to use Fuel Line Pliers. I only had to put a small amount of force to disengage the clamping tabs.

The Fuel Line outer diameter was 8.25 mm and the inside diameter of the coupling wass 14.5 mm. I made the tool with a .25 clearance.

You will need to print two of these in order to use.

The picture in the Gallery shows the positioning of the two halves of the tool. This was after I used them to disconnect.

Some Notes and/or Warnings:

The Fuel Rail is under pressure so be sure you properly remove the pressure.

There is a suprising amount of gas in the Fuel Rail have a way to dispose of it properly.
