Project Description: Custom Spiral Screw and Matching Nut
This 3D model, created in Tinkercad, consists of two main components designed to function as a mechanical screw assembly:
The Male Component (Screw): A non-standard, wide-flange spiral screw. It features a heavy, auger-like thread with a high pitch, transitioning from a central core to sharp outer edges.
The Female Component (Nut/Base): A red solid cube that has been modified using a "Hole" operation. The internal cavity perfectly mirrors the geometry of the spiral screw, creating a custom-threaded housing.
Technical Details:
Thread Type: Custom organic spiral (resembling a drill bit or an Archimedes' screw).
Fitment: The internal threads in the cube were generated using a Boolean subtraction of the screw geometry.
Objective: To verify the mechanical interface and ensure smooth rotation/fit between the two parts for 3D printing.
