When in use, remove the fixing sleeve and the sleeve from the Dremel, leaving only the threaded spindle. Carefully push it up and thread it to its full depth. The conical part at the end helps with positioning. The welding head acts as a filler rod, adding heat to the parts by friction. In use, it is similar to arc welding in many aspects, where the electrode also serves as a filler material. There are many similarities with conventional welding. For example, when carrying out repairs, parts with thinner wall thicknesses may be burned through.
