Replacement for 24W 2V NC actuator for in-floor heating. Mine are always breaking, and I got tired of replacing them.
- Con: these are mechanical, not automatic, so any attached thermostats become useless
- Pro: they're a LOT cheaper to replace
- Pro: the threading allows for very fine adjustment
Printing
- PETG (PLA works, but will soften in heat)
- 100% infill - these aren't big parts
- No brim or supports needed
Use
- Print & cool
- Glue a m3 nut into valve_screw_cap
- Use a tiny bit of oil to mesh the threads in valve_screw_cap and valve_screw
- Screw the cap all the way into the valve, then 90% unscrew
- Snap valve_screw over the actuator attachment (example)
- Use the valve_screw_key or anything similarly shaped to adjust the actuator to the desired depth
