The Problem

The rollerblinds I bought were too long to still fit onto the frame around the window. Because of that the blinds wouldn't have enough space to properly roll and collide with the frame.

The easy solution

Just saw the rollerblinds to length. That's BORING.

The fun solution

Design and print a spacer of variable size to fit exactly where I want it to.

Printing information

As the part doesn't need to be overly strong or resist a lot of mechanical tension I printed it with 10% infill and standard perimeters. Adjust to your needs.

Attention

In my print- and projectfiles I have a custom gcode script that runs before the print. It is a modified version of the Miniprusa start gcode. It homes the printer and heats to 180°C / 60°C before meshbed-leveling. Then heats to first-layer temp and starts normally.

Make your own

I have also provided my openscad files for the part. There you can adjust the parameters to fit your needs or make a new part entirely.

There is one version without chamfers, which will work on a fresh OpenScad install out-of-the-box. And one with chamfers. You will need this library from  TimeWaster for it to work.
