I recently had to put up some plastic sheeting in my basement for dust control. I was looking all over for something I could use to mount those cheap extendable paint roller rods to so that I could form a corner with the plastic sheet “wall”. This threaded mount I created did the trick, and at 20% infill with 3 walls in PETG, it felt really sturdy. The screw holes allowed me to attach this to exposed floor joists in my basement. If a remix with screw holes that run parallel with the rod would be useful, send me a message – I would be happy to create that.

On the floor, I created these little cups for the handle that could fit a rubber furniture pad on the bottom. When the rod was extended, it put pressure down on the rubber and prevented the bottom from sliding out. I can upload that here as well if that can be a help, but it's precise fit will depend on the shape of the rod handle. The rods I used are model EPT-202A31L6-12 from Lowe's.
