For those of us that program micro-controllers, I present the Rowley CrossConnect Lite housing.  This is made to protect our investment in this tool, our development boards, our PCs, and our peace of mind.  It should be noted that the current CrossConnect Neo is a quite an expensive piece of kit and so this may save you from expense.

There's all the relevant parts exposed, but only those, and there's a hole for hanging it when you don't want to strain the cable.  One only needs two No 4 screws to retain the lid.  Print with a 0.3mm nozzle or finer as there are two very small rails inside to retain the PCB.
