Plugs should be printed with TPU. The tool does not really matter, anything non-flexible will do. :)
Plugs to keep the silicone in place when changing the motor cable.
- plug with a hole - cable side
- full plug - empty side
A tool to insert the bottom plug straight into the axle at the correct depth.
- place the full plug on the tool
- insert into the axle fully
- the plug should seal the axle right under the cable hole and it will nicely keep the stato standing while you work on the cable side.
- fill the axle with silicone, leave ~1cm space from the rim
- close with the cable side plug
The plug itself is not intended to provide a full seal. It's supposed to keep silicone in place while it sets. Plugs stay in the axle.
Note: The model tolerances against the axle are very rough. The TPU is forgiving, and the plunger is much smaller than the hole, as debris from old silicone is expected, and we don't want to get it stuck. If you are looking for a precise negative of axle hole to start your motor cooling project or to reinforce the axle with more material - this is not the model you are looking for.
