In Belgium, the government decided to let soldiers serve until the age of 67... and the result, as you can imagine, was disastrous.
This soldier named Lapinu was a true elite veteran. The tank armor was too heavy, and the boots were so hard that they hurt his feet—so he simply made his own tracked chair with wood; he replaced his shoes with certified rabbit-shaped slippers designed for muddy terrain; and he carried a large backpack with coffee, biscuits... and a few bottles of chilled beer—after all, staying hydrated is a key strategy for victory in combat.
That look of world-weariness and fatigue is quite normal. After 50 years of military service, he knows very well that he still has to hold on for another seven years... and it's not just about holding a submachine gun.
Although he moves slowly, he is steady and determined, always ready to defend his homeland - at least, until the aperitif time comes.
