I found the original threaded dust filter fitted perfectly on the filament guide I'd previously attached to my Eder 3, but the extra space for the guide meant that the inner part didn't reach the bottom of the outer.
By extending the thread by 7mm it now screws in without leaving a gap at the bottom.
