In my adventure building a Voron V0.2 i need a torque screwdriver to tighten evenly the screws on linear rails, so i design one aroud the components availabale.
Please note this is NOT a precision dynamometric tool, i set the torque by feeling (a DIY enthusiast knows what I'm talking about)
The BOM (Bill Off Materials)
- 8 ball bearings 2.4mm diameter from a 625 bearing
- 1 extension for 4mm micro bits with shaft
- 2 M5 shims D=8mm d=5mm h=1mm
- 1 M3x30 BHCS screw
- 1 compresion spring 8mm diameter, 10mm long, 1mm wire diameter
- 1 compresion spring 5mm diameter, 20mm long, 0.5mm wire diameter
- 1 cylindrical neodymium magnet 3x3mm
Before printig i sugest calibrate you printer and setings for material you use.
Print material for my printed parts is ABS-GF, you can experiment with any material.
The print setings i use: 6 wall loops, walls printig order Inner/Outer for 'ts_main_body_ergonomic' and 'ts_screw' to properly printing the threads.
For the 'ts_main_body_ergonomic' and 'ts_screw'i recommend using a brim.
Use the picture to guide you during assembly, a little puzzle is fun :)
Enjoy and happy printig!
