Mookie swingball / tether ball game has sections of pipe to form the main bracket. 

These brackets have small plastic pieces that can split. 
This is just a simple model to hold it together and has small cutouts to make it fit around the original bracket.

As it is on the lower part of the game the ball can not hit it.

I should make a version that is smoother that can be used for the upper sections sop the ball does not get damaged by the corners of the bracket.
