Abstract
I always accidentally drop my glasses on the ground, or sit on them by mistake... I have to buy a new pair of glasses every time, which really annoys me. So, I decided to make my own glasses using 3D printing.
This was the simplest task, but first, I had to draw the design of the glasses. I decided to reuse the old lenses and at the same time, I completely redesigned the overall shape and all the connecting structures.
Because the front of the frame must remain flat, I used a hair dryer to slightly heat it after printing, and then easily bent it into shape. Compared to trying to "bend" the print with the help of a support structure, this method works much better.
The mirror legs are fixed using two small 1.75mm consumables. In this way, I completely avoided the trouble of using miniature screws.
Nowadays, I not only have a variety of cool color combinations, but I also love this unique look—wearing glasses is no longer just a "necessary thing to do," but has become a fun daily experience.
Of course, considering that the shape of everyone's lenses varies greatly, you may need to make some adjustments based on your own needs.
