I couldn't find a case that suited my needs for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, so I designed this model with which I have included two different lids (one with ventilation and one without). Both lids are designed to snap onto the base without any hardware.
The lid with ventilation is intended for a small 18mm x 18mm x 4mm 1804 cooling fan to be mounted for active cooling of the CPU. A quick search for “1804 18X18X4mm Industrial Axial Flow Fan 5V Brushless DC Cooling Fan” will yield the model that I used for this assembly. The fan mounts with three (3) M2x6 screws. This lid also includes a hole for the LED indicator printable light pipe which is also included in this series of files.
The lid without ventilation is simple and requires no extra hardware.
I have been using Bambulab PLA, Polymaker PLA, and Amolen TPU filaments for this model successfully.
For the case, lid, and light pipe, I have been printing on my X1Carbon using 0.2mm nozzles and 0.6mm layer height with the high quality option. The case detentes require a very fine layer height and line width to fit well.
The dust plugs for all of the port openings in the cases are best printed in TPU or flexible PLA. These pieces do not require the same level of detail as the cases and can be printed with 0.4mm nozzle with 0.12mm or 0.16mm layer height.
.STEP and .f3d files are included for easier remixes.
