Pleated blinds are relatively cheap and practical but seem to wear out quickly due to the friction of the guide wires (top to bottom) to the plastic part(s). In my case I replace these parts once every 1-2 years. I have been doing this for more then 10 years now. As you can see the blinds themselves are old now so replacement is due but it saved me (and the environment) atleast 4 times. Free to comment ofcourse.
