There are many caliper holder designs available and most of them share the same attribute. They leave the caliper parallel and close to the wall which can make it awkward to pick up, more so in a crowded tool wall like mine. 

With that in mind I designed my holder to be easy to use by angling the surface away from the wall. It also has a curved slot so that it is easier to mount straight.

I have been using it for close to 5 years without problems
