I was trying to tidy the area surrounding my desk and there was some acrylic pentagons left over from my Infinity Dodecahedron build. I didn't want to just throw them out so, as I also had some leftover mirror window film from the same project, I decided to do a much simpler table top infinity mirror design.

As I also had some strings of LEDs for bottles left over. They have a cork shaped battery holder with a number of LEDs attached to thin wires. I bought a pack of ten but there are only so many bottles with LED lights in them that any one person needs so I had a couple left over.

To hold the acrylic pentagons I designed a 3D printed edge peace based on the pentagons having an edge size of between 105mm - 107mm. The same as the dodecahedron light I previously designed. I've exported the Fusion 360 design file so anyone can make changes to the parameters I've used. Yes, I used parameters in the design to make it easy to modify. The design is just two pieces. One is just normal side pieces and is used for the bottom three sides. The second piece has half a hole on one edge. Two of these are needed for the top two sides.

I printed these in Creality Wood Silk PLA. I had this left over from printing the Snow globe from Retromaker.

The length of the internal side of the frame is 10cm meaning that once assembled the internal circumference is 0.5 meters and so the colour changing RGB strips I used previously could also be used here and the frame is deep enough that one piece could be modified to hold an ESP32 with WLED installed on it to control the strip. Unfortunately I didn't have any of those left over so I'll stick with the bottle lights.

I glued the bottom three pieces of the frame together using epoxy. I also did the same to the top two pieces. Once the acrylic was inserted into the bottom section I just placed the top section on top like a lid and then inserted the light through the hole. This means if I decide to change it in the future, it is easy to disassemble.
