Raises the top cover on the Vz235 to allow more room for the PTFE tube as it bends into the extruder (particularly helpful if you're running a filament sensor on top of the extruder).
STEP file included in case you want to remix / modify. All I ask is for a mention :)
PETG might be good enough for most printers but if you're worried, you can always use ABS instead, for more chamber heat resistance.
NO SUPPORTS: The corners have built-in support around the magnet area, so you do not need to add your own in the slicer.
TIGHT FIT: The dovetail joints are tight (at least when printed in PETG), but should tap together just fine on a flat countertop using a gentle hammer tap.
Prints great in 0.25 layer height.
Version 20mm Hardware:
- M4x28 Countersunk screws (14)
- M4x30 Hex screws (for handles) (4)
- M4 T-nuts (14) plus the four you're already using for the handles
- M5x30 Countersunk screws (4) Optional for additional corner clamping into frame
- Note: You can get by in a pinch with just the handle screws, but I recommend the other screws for a better fit (clamping force all the way around).
Version 50mm Hardware:
- M4x16 Countersunk screws (upto 14)
- M4x60 Hex screws (for handles) (4)
- M4 T-nuts (14) plus the four you're already using for the handles
- Note: You can get by in a pinch with just the handle screws, but I recommend the other screws for a better fit (clamping force all the way around).
