I made a base for the LED “neon” shapes that are all over Aliexpress, Dollar Store and other retailers.

The base has a cutout for the shape to pass through, providing a friction fit. There is also a cutout for the USB power lead to pass through, and there is space to route the wires. I used hot glue to stick the wires in place and to provide a little more friction for the LED shape.
