This device can be used as a current limiter when turning on old electronics incase there are sorts. For example, bad capacitors, or other faulty equipment causing the device to draw too much power.

The light will turn on if there is a short in your equipment, if your equipment as no shorts the light will remain off/dim.

You will need a socket such as this one from Lowes.

You will need an incandescent bulb, the larger wattage is best, I found 200 at Lowes.

Cut the live wire in an extension cord, or power cord and install the light in series as seen in the photo.

Close the whole thing with an M5x12mm countersunk screw
