Simplicity was key with this set. I wanted something that would appeal to anyone. Its quirky characters appeal to children, while the design makes it easy for older people to pick up. The letters on their heads correspond to their formal naming (N, here, stands for Knight).

I am a high school student, and a MakerBot would let my creativity pour out (through an extruder, of course).
