Once printed and assembled, this tool makes de-doming the Nichia 519A lightning fast. It works by pushing and slicing off the silicone dome at the correct height every time.

I haven't tried it with any other emitters, but I would guess that it wouldn't work as the 519A is much easier to de-dome than any other emitter. The Nichia 519A's height without the dome is not specified, I measured it as being somewhere between 1.08-1.15 mm, so if you decide to try it with other emitters, be sure to check that it's base (with the phosphor layer) is not higher.

The body should be printed in standing position with supports on the build plate, while the lever flat on the printer bed. For me, 0.15 mm layer height worked the best.

Do not use carbon fiber or any other fused filament for the inner part as it can severely scratch the glass under the silicone dome.

You can use a toothpick or a metal pin for attaching the two parts after printing. The diameter of the hole is 1.5 mm.
