I really liked the A-1 Spinnakur, and nobody can get them, so I decided to make one myself. I saw a lot of other people might have the same idea as I did, but no one seems to have put theirs here or somewhere I could find it, so here's mine!
Bill of Materials:
1x Tension Spring, I got mine from Ace hardware, Item #540299 1¾" Overall Length, 7/32" Outer Diameter x 0.041" Wire Gauge (you might have to get creative with a spring that will work for you. )
3x M3x4.5mm(Width)x3mm(Length) Heat Set Inserts
1x M3x6mm(Length) Grub Screw
1x M3x8mm(Length) Grub Screw
1x M3x14mm(MAX Length, can be shorter) Button Head Screw
1x Dinky HPC Spring Steel Tension Wrench, Windshield Wiper Blade, etc. Get creative. Length is to taste.
1x Flashlight Pocket Clip (https://a.co/d/2oGCYrd) (Optional, print the no pocket clip version if you're leaving it out.)
Print Settings:
I put a modifier cylinder with fuzzy skin on contour (outer surface,) classic noise type, point distance of 0.1, and thickness of 1.5.
the models are oriented correctly for printing already, I would draw on some support dots on the sides of the outer shell and the business end to support it later in the print. enable supports generally with an overhang limit of 5.
Use a brim.
Highly Recommend PETG or PLA, both should be fine, could try ABS, however, I could not get a good product out of ABS personally. Feel free to leave a comment or a make to show me your ABS version if it was successful!
Edit: Changed the Heat Set Inserts to be an actual size of heat set inserts
Edit 2 15/5/25: Increased internal length of the business end
